As for nutrition, I am only feeding these plants distilled water that I pH'd. I dialed the light to 205w and all the plants seem to be happy. (I'll put a link to his YouTube channel below.) He pretty much told me that since my plants were small they did not require as much light as my lights were putting out and that I was wasting electricity and pushing my plants too hard since I was running the light 24/0. Confused in what to do, I consulted an expert I was following for a while, Green State. Plant B had, what I believe to be, light burn from running the light at 500 watts the first two days since sprout.

Its been around 6 days since these seeds popped and theyre looking great.

These pots are more like 5 gallons even though the name says 7. Really just picked this up because of the reviews I read online. I hope I picked a good combo with this but only time will tell. Runs about 30 watts at max speed with oscillation.ħ Gallon Air Pruning Pots by Ultra Oxy Pots with FoxFarm LocoCoco I run the fan with venting to a window dryer vent I placed in my bedroom window. The noise is almost unnoticable outside my bedroom door. The Hyperfan is really quiet even at faster speeds and I have found the white noise to be unintrusive when I'm sleeping (right beside it). I want to use these as long as I can so I run these guys on the low side so I don't stress them out. The reason why I went big on these bad boys is because I didn't want to stress my equipment by using them at max power. I'm hanging these guys using crate scraps I found Amazon from the top of my tent. I'll be slowly cranking this guy up in power as the weeks go by.Ĩ" Hyperfan Stealth (+ Vivosun 8" Carbon Filter)
Growbot room driver#
Since my plants are currently vegging, I turned the driver down to 205 watts (measure using a kill-a-watt meter) which I think will be plenty enough for the couple weeks.

The first few days I ran this thing, I definitely felt some heat before realizing that the driver was set to max power. Running at 2.4 micromoles, my HLG is BRIGHT as hell for 500 watts. HLG is perfect because of the efficiency of their lights. Since I live in an older rowhouse in DC (shoutout to my DC homies), I also don't have much voltage to work with until my fuse goes out. I literally have the tent at the end of my bed and theres just enough space for a corner desk and a dresser :)Īfter weeks of research, I've come to learn that lighting is crucial in that it pretty much determines the maximum yield in which I can grow. As for the placement of my tent, I wanted the most mild temperate climate for my grow so I decided to put the setup in my bedroom. I'm prolly hanging close to 100 lb from the support poles in top of my tent but honestly I think it can hold at least 50lb more. Since this is my first tent, I really don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm hanging an 8" carbon filter going into an 8" Hyperfan stealth, with my grow light in between. Allegedly, these tents also offer the thickest and strongest poles in the market (again, "allegedly"). I picked this tent because I grow in my bedroom and need to minimize any possibility of light leak. This thing is a huge and the canvas is very THICK. To start, I want to give a little background on my setup: This grow is the result of my learning here. For months, I've followed all your grows and learned a lot about your art and I'm pleased to be able to give back to my fellow weedy mcweedertons. I'm genuinely excited to bring to yall all my first ever grow.īefore I begin, I just want to give a shoutout to all of you, who have have indirectly taught me everything that I know.
